basically while watching the demo use /cl_avidemo 30 to start recording at times when you make good frags or whatever. cl_avidemo 0 stops the recording. You then need a program called virtualdub to turn the recordings into compressed avi (just tell it to load the screenshots from cod4-main-screenshots).
