You can also get more info about, stop or disable certain services by:
-clicking on your Start button
- clicking Run...
-type services.msc

In the Status column you will see whether or not the service is started.  In the Startup Type column you will see whether or not it is set to begin at startup.  Right-click and stop any services you feel are unnecessary while gaming.
