Medals not registering

God this game is fucking annoying. I got 44 kills as Assault on SF, a long boring IO round of Warlord with like 8 people on. The award comes up, drumroll etc. Yay. I play a whole nother round, then it loads a new map, I let it load, and then quit once it has cos I was tired. My fucking medal hasn't shown up!
Does this just randomly happen? Like the random hit detection on choppers, random bullshit headshots with a spray-o-matic piece of shit like the L85A1, random UAVs appearing in front of you and blowing up your jet, random CTDs and crashes and disconnects. Aargh i'm pissed off.

Never believed that BS myself, if it's not on your stats the next day, you ain't gonna get it.

And yes, it does happen randomly. SF badges are the worst for it.

^^ Read my post...they probably won't.

I've had to earn at least 1 SF expert twice because of this.

And sometimes you won't get stats recorded for certain rounds.

Well as I've seen several other people report the same situation with the SF badges it's a pretty common problem.

Most of the time your stats will update within a matter of minutes/hours. If it's not there the next day, you can give up waiting.

I got a BR of over 100 on Fushe Pass the other day (see this thread - http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=90708) and the score wasn't recorded. Similar story with an epic round of Tampa.

Scores for random rounds do drop sometimes (although it is fairly rare).

I got my Special Ops specialist on a small warlord server in a long game...... half a year ago.... still hasn't registered.
Heh, I was kinda pissed because that was the second time I did it, too, and the second time it didn't register. So I just gave up on the award and I'll come back to it when I finish the other kits.

And these rounds were all on "ranked" servers. (At least that's what my search filters were set to)

GOod luck and hopefully yours will register soon.

My filters are set to pick up ranked servers only.

Unfortunately sometimes servers that aren't ranked show up with the Corporal Stripes and appear on the filters for ranked servers only. I don't know how rare this is but it's happened to me at least twice.

The big giveaway was how all weapons were free, people were ranking up left, right and center after about 50 points and most people ended up with huge scores (that were never updated).

I got about 150 points that round and at the end I'd become a 2nd Lieutenant for some reason.

The only time I havent had a award clock up was when I went into a server and started playing with no rank, I got the points and kills, but no medal.

You base your point on one experience and think that is a fact applied to others, i know and several others that have played this game from the start that stat updates are slow from Thursday - Sunday, it has always been so and will most probably be so for quite some time.

It could be that he have to take the badge twice, but that doesn't happen even remotely as often as it just showing up late.

And this kind of threads pops up almost every week showing the consistency of the problem and often it is reported by the very same guy that started the thread that the reward eventually showed up in his stats.

I say again, what I described was not a one time occurence, I know several people who have had this problem, I have even seen threads on here mention it.

Whenever I get medals I check Bf2player (only because it can be updated more often than BF2S) and they are nearly always on the stats a few mins later.

And I still don't buy that crap about stats taking a while to update at weekends, they seem pretty consistent to me, but as i say rounds DO get lost sometimes.

Anyway, not gonna argue anymore, but to OP...you will most likely have earn it again.

I've been playing for a year and a half, not since the game came out, but for double your playtime, and checked my stats a hell of a lot.

I have NEVER had a problem with stats updating slowly at the weekend, that's just the crap EA trots out for when there are mistakes in the stat system.

Certain rounds don't get recorded. Fact. SF medals are a bit dodgy. Fact.

This guy still hasn't got his medal. He is very unlikely to recieve it, and should try for it again if he wants it that bad.

I never said recordings of scores and awards wasn't faulty, i merely pointed out stat updates are slow at weekends ...
