Well this is my 3rd Home Make over project

My Dad purchased this home for $400,000 - 2300 sq ft - 4 bedroom, 4 bath - 3 .5 acres - built 1956 and parts of this home shows it - the previous home owner and it built in 1956 (2 bedroom,2 bath 1400 sq ft) and then through out the decades he would add on

I plan on demoing the kitchen and opening a bar window on the wall to the left for added light - theres a small bedroom to the right of the kitchen, I'm going to knock down the wall and open the kitchen into that bedroom and then put in a morning room with french doors to the back deck - the blue and yellow bathroom are going to combine into 1 large bathroom and its going to have a country flare with modern touch - the family room, I'm going to strip off all that wood paneling and replace it with rock, tear up that carpet and get it down to the hardwood floors

Kitchen view from the left facing upper right corner

Facing the right side of the kitchen - I plan taking that wall down and putting a arch in

That house really looks old school, glad you're tearing it down.

the previous owner was a werid guy, instead of updating what you got .. he would leave it as is and add on and that would be up to date

I'll take pics of last bedroom and bath he had added on, its amazing espically the bath

Does your dad do this a lot? I was watching this show about a family that does this but then I got pissed off because they were friggin' millionaires.

dude, i'd rethink combining the baths. i've stayed at friends houses who have 1-2 bathrooms, and its a pain. at the very least, keep the toilet area of one of them separate.

sounds like a cool project though, good luck with it, and keep us updated!

there are 4 baths in the house. there will be 3 when he's done. that's more than enough.

this home all ready has 4 bedroom 4 bath --- what I'm doing is eliminating 1 bedroom and combining 2 baths into 1 large leaving 3 bedrooms 3 baths

So do you do add ons or just renovations of existing rooms?

both -- last house we added a 2 car garage with an upstairs bedroom, that was all the house needed

I am looking to extend my kitchen out, double it really. Being in a mobile home though, I am going to have to add a roof to get the right ceiling height throughout. Any experience with that kind of thing?
