You think an S2000 is rare? Shit, those are all over the USA. Just take a drive in the afternoon.
*sigh*
Why is this thread even still alive? Everyone keeps saying the same shit over and over and over again. It's like beating a dead horse.

Over here it is. Cmon you should know that the US Automotive market and the European one is pretty much alien to each other.
I know. Sucks for you guys, too. You Europeans with your small sensible cars and outrageous auto insurance systems ... Europe has some of the best cars in the world, but some of the most screwed up systems regulating insuring and buying them.
Because there is no such thing as a fucking production M8.CapnNismo wrote:

Okay, fine. I am saying officially, there is no production M8 also. But the ownership papers still denote it as an M8. No more, no less. Come off it.

any M-Tech BMW says motorsport somewhere on docs.. i think
my 325i Sport E30 didn't i think ?? confused ??
anyway check the above link ^^^^^^^^^^
You show me the proof. But the VIN on an 850CSi had a different prefix ... denoting it as being physically built at BMW Motorsports.
put the last 7 of the vin in to the above link.. it is a BMW motor sport though.. hence the engine code starting with an S
there is a difference between an M-Power ie M3/M5 etc and a 330 Sport M-Tech (or any M-Tech) that car is an 850CSI M-Tech i think
if i'm wrong i'm very sorry..

there was nothing like an M8 ever! M-series is produced by BMW M-GmbH and those thingys are mostly completley diffrent to the series BMW´s, not only the engines.
There was an 850 CSI build from 1990-1994 with a M-Aerodynamics package, but thats about it. The enigne was just the regular V12 5.0 of the 750i and 850i.
It was classified as M8 CSI but not a product of M-GmbH.
And to everybody saying this car is ugly, well, were you already born when those cars hit the streets. BMW´s 8series was one of the best designed and most powerfull sportcoupe´s at that time.

S2000's are pretty rare too. They shouldn't be, but they are. I'd take that any day over an MX-5 or similar. Get rid of the vinyl graphics and change the gold rims into some deep-dish rims of the same size and you'll have a winrar.
My Neighbor has one..
atm two S2000 are parking in front of my office window.... wow, pretty rare (though cool car)
I've allways loved that car....
It looked hot in The Italian Job (2003)

Almost looks as good as mine does.
you drive a BMW 8 series? Cool
A buddy of mine just sold an 8 series (not an M though, an 850i or 850il or something), though it really was sort of an old car, and he basically gave it away. Sold it to a doctor in town (my buddy's the CEO of one of our local hospitals so it was sort of a good will move) for $13,500. He just spent 6k on the air conditioner and another $3,500 on a NAV system so he got anally raped on the deal. Even so it rode rough and it just wasn't the cherry car you think of when you think BMW. Neat looking, but still compared to something like a new Lexus or BMW it was rough as sandpaper.

Anybody in the UK will confirm that the S2000 isn't as popular here.
Also there's a guy with a Ferrari (forgot which one, F430?) near my house that doesn't mean it's a common car.

He sold a 850ci for $13,500 with all that shit? Fuck, you can get them like $2.5k cheaper nowadays in mint condition. That doctor got raped on the price, all he did was pay full price for the nav and AC and then what the car was actually worth.
As I look from my office window I see something similar to this:
The BMW is dated but I'm sure it was the shit back in the day.................how did I know Slayer would be all over this one
