It's not a statistic you can just go and dig up somewhere. There's no real life statsboard that shows the leetness of each Military Branch, Security Firm, Militia, or what have you. It comes from first and thirdhand experience. Blackwater isn't all this hot shit you want to believe. Overpaid, Undertrained, underarmoured, uncontrolled idiots. I'd take a Squad of Marines over the entire Blackwater Company.MetaL* wrote:

Its all depends on Amadina-Jihad, if his approval rating carries on going down it might be a nice distraction from a failing Iranian economy, but than again hightly unlikely unless he is really as mad as we think he is!!!

I'm not talking about a BS ground war where we get shot at by 12 year olds who are hiding in closets, I'm talking about flying over and turning the place into a parking lot.
Who would want to fight a ground war with a country who enlisted adolescents to clear mine fields in the Iran-Iraq war? I know I wouldn't. According to a show I saw on the History Channel awhile back, Iran sent waves of children soldiers at Iraqi entrenchments trying to overwhelm the gunners and force retreat.nukchebi0 wrote:

Same was done in WWI and WWII. On alll sides of the frontline. What's your point ?SenorToenails wrote:

WTF Why?
to the OP:
I voted never. That is, of course, if Iran is wise enough not to attack anyone else outside of their own borders. But that won't happen.
And as long as Iran complies with IAEO guidelines, I can see no scenario whatsoever under which the US could find enough justification to actually attack Iran militarily. Apart from that, I have serious doubts that the US could muster enough ground troops to lead an effective campaign on Iranian soil in the first place.

Yes, human wave attacks were done in WWI with the whole trench warfare bit. But not by youths. And not with the express purpose of clearing a mine field for the main force following after them.B.Schuss wrote:

SourcePerhaps the most commented-on characteristic of the war was the use of human wave attacks and suicide brigades by Iran, including the use of thousands of teenage Basij volunteers who sacrificed their lives to clear the marshes of mines. Wearing white headbands and shouting 'Shaheed, shaheed!' ('Martyr, martyr!') as they were blown up, these youths ran over fields of landmines to clear the way for Iranian ground assault. Their devotion earned the reverence of pious Iranian revolutionaries but ultimately did not overcome Iraqi defenses. To this day, the use of estesh-hadiyun (martyrdom-seekers) remains part of Iranian military doctrine.
My point is that any invading force would need to deal with a level of fanaticism that is considered insane by the rest of the world.
Easy. Sentry guns don't have emotions. Samsung makes'em, $US200,000 a pop.SenorToenails wrote:

There won't be a war with Iran because there can't be a war with Iran. There may be bombings but that's about the height of it. The American military would bite off more than it could chew if it took Iran on in a war. The US would need a draft to do it and Iran is not Iraq: Iranians are patriotic and will fanatically defend their country and resist any occupier.

He's indicated in the pas he supports the mass genocide of the world's Muslim population.

well, I would guess that most Americans would fight with comparable spirit if their homeland was invaded. At least that's what the NRA tells me.SenorToenails wrote:
