I think people are well aware of some of those facts and yet in Iowa and NH they've still voted for him in large numbers. The Republicans haven't a prayer against him unless McCain gets the candidacy, all the others Republicans candidates are weak as piss.Dersmikner wrote:
Once the general public realizes that (1) his middle name is Hussein, (2) he spent two years at a Madrasa, and (3) he voted against making English the official language of the United States, his ass is cooked with 90% of the "get up and go to work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m." crowd. I'm not saying those things should keep a man from being President (well, maybe #3), but they're going to with the general electorate. No two ways about it. He's going to get up in a debate against some Vietnam vet like McCain, or a former preacher like Huckabee, and all that slick suit charm is going to look like shit when he admits that rocked back and forth while reading the Koran outloud, or that he voted against English.

next we'll be listening to speakers on every corner.
That's one of the most atmospheric things about being in the middle east - when you hear the crackle of the nearest speakers commencing the eerie call to prayer, followed by crackling speakers dotted all across the city you're in.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

It really sucks when the spire top is at the same level as your hotel room. Right across the street. And you're jetlagged.

No...just "lucky" enough to show up in Kuwait City during the big shift in '96. No room at Doha. Pleasant surprise, though.
And I'm no zoomie. Not that there's anything wrong with Academy grads...at least nothing that electroshock therapy can't cure.

Clinton re-structuring?
Well, at least it won't be Carville.
More from the Rumourmill : Obama and Edwards are conspiring to make it as embarrassing as possible.
Of course Clinton grabbing the front runner seat back would be a testimonial for her to claim.

On Eve of Primary, Clinton Campaign Shows StressStaff and responsibility changes are in the works in the Clinton campaign. Several sources indicate that people will come in and layer several of the prominent staffers responsible for the Iowa and New Hampshire strategy. Those likely to be layered include Mark Penn, Mandy Grunwald, Patti Solis Doyle -- and possibly Howard Wolfson.
Clinton co-chair Terry McAuliffe hinted at upcoming changes in an interview on MSNBC at 12:30 pm, when I asked:
Q: Can you sit here today and tell us that your campaign will have the same players ... coming out of New Hampshire as going in?
McAuliffe: Everyone who is in the campaign today will be in the campaign...
Q: Will they have new bosses? James Carville? Paul Begala ? The dream team from 1992?
McAuliffe: I would hope James would come in. He's been making a fortune on CNN -- I'd love to get him on board. We want everybody who believes in Hillary to come in and help in this campaign.
Q: I'm smelling a shakeup in the Clinton campaign.
McAuliffe: We'll bring in more people to help us. We're about to head into Feb 5th, 23 states. From day one, this campaign, and Hillary, has given strict instructions: Anyone who wants to come in can help us. I think a lot of people now, seeing the situation we're in, love Hillary, adore Hllary, want her to be president, are going to come in and say, I'm going to come in and help Hillary. That's natural in a campaign.

Edwards' only hope is to get Clinton out of the way.Kmarion wrote:

Obama/McCain FTW!
Maybe Bill Clinton could stop Obama. Think about it, if things get tough for Hillary, he knows how to manipulate the public opinion better than Obama, even when Obama is quite good at it.
Obama appears destined to own the Indies. At least that's the way it's looking.sergeriver wrote:

Sorry Gunslinger. i got to say it.
The only person who can stop Obama is Ron Paul. Obama is a "change" guy as far as tweak a policy here or there. Ron Paul is a "CHANGE" guy. So much as it is too drastic for most Americans at this time.
Funny though, since Obama won Iowa, every candidate is a "change" candidate. It'd be humorous if this election wasn't so important.

well, it seems Hillary can...
Not Hillary, Bill Clinton can. He talked these days about Obama taking a different position about Iraq and how he voted the same than Hillary every time. Bill is a very skilled man when it comes to speeches.
