I am playing around with scrolling LED signs for the car.
It's only 26 inches wide, so it's slightly shorter than the longest yellow side tank on my roofrack. Kind of on the small side, but they are bright as hell, thin, and very very colorful!
They are about $200 each, and I figure I can whore out the ecto during the spring to local clubs who have been chomping at the bit to use the car for advertising, just enough to cover the cost of the signs and then stop.

This came in the mail today from Jolly Ol' England. Scope out the fourth line from the top!
Back in September I got an email from one of the editors of England's corporate subaru magazine. Apparently they had been forwarded info on my car from both the editors of the US-based SubaruDRIVE magazine and the administrators of the NASIOC forums and wanted to do a feature on the ectocar. They sent some specific questions, but I just recommended they visit one of the forums where I chronicle everything about the cars. The editor asked for me to take some pictures of the car that were 'bad-ass,' and that's when I started taking the HDR pictures with a friend.

Oh dude, you have no idea! I've been in a relationship for the last year, but before that I was up to my eyeballs in potential tail. For every girl that thinks a superbike or streetracer is hot, there are about a dozen who, when they see a goofy-ass movie car at a stoplight, will actually open the doors and get into the car asking for a ride.argo4 wrote:

At one time I was at the point where I locked my doors at stoplights to prevent drunk chicks from climbing in (at the time I had all sorts of wires that could be pulled out and damaged, I have since remedied this situation and have a 100% clean passenger area).
