It's the version number of Half Life 1 when ported to the Steam platform. It's no different from just calling it 'Half Life'. It's like calling Counter Strike 1.6 'Counter Strike 1', and Counter Strike: Source 'Counter Strike 2'. Technically through all of the updates and different ports (pre-Steam era), Half Life has had roughly 5 major updates/versions since retail release.OmniDeath wrote:
