Well there goes the perk of not spending an hour at (place) every Sunday.
ooooooooooooor you could get off your lazy ass and teach your children morals yourself. Children don't learn morals from 10 page books called "Sharing is Fun" they learn morals by watching how you act.
They're turning "Atheism" too much into an "Anti-Christanity" or "Christianity Opposite" rather than just what it's supposed to be.

Its really fucking pathetic. It kind of reminds me of that south park episode where they get pissed off at the church for some reason and say "YEAH, LETS BE SATINSTS" and somebody asks: "couldn't we just be atheist" and he replys "same thing"

You took the words out of my mouth. Like you said, it's turning into a religion really.
I know. The insulting nature of pastafarianism has infected the definition of atheism.Mek-Izzle wrote:

All I know is, I hated Hebrew School with a huge fucking passion.
Hebrew is cool. The Hebrew alphabet makes for a pretty cool Indiana Jones code language.Poseidon wrote:

Exactly. Atheism is just a simple realisation and opposes no specific institution.Mek-Izzle wrote:

Satanic church makes more sense than any other churches I've seen. Truth, go look it up on wiki.
I consider myself a moderately devout Catholic but i like FSM...
i support the religion to a point lol, i almost bought the bible
Atheism is simply a belief that there is no God, yet many people use atheism as an 'anti religion,' kind of taking on a violent belief that religion is bad and must be eliminated, whereas in modern society, atheism and theism should be able to survive together

Yay. I'm in the TIME's now! That's awesome.
Anyway, as part of the "older" "childrens" group, we talk about more serious topics like the future of science, bio-engineering, and other awesome stuff (and the random discussion about BF2, lol). Anyway, Atheism is quite simply the thought that there is not enough proof (and reasoning) that there is a god, or the belief that there is not god. Atheism really isn't trying to oppose any certain organization, it's just a realization, just as that other person (to tired to look at name), said.
On another note (a mistake by the reporter), the whole place is for "Humanism" which, is different than atheism. If you don't know, look it up on the wikipedia (thank you electronic collaboration).
As a reply to T. Pike, I say, "Can't go somewhere that doesn't exist."
