Petition to EA Games and Dice

I want to write these companies and MOD teams an e-mail asking for an addition in an upcoming expansion of this game. Obviously not being more important than bug fixes etc, but hopefully important enough to be considered; regarding adding female models and radiovoices.

I know there are some of you out there who agree with me, and a lot who don't, but I'm writing this for those of you that do.

If you agree that this game would be better and that it would add to it, possibly even get a bigger player base by adding females, even if just as supporting forces and medics etc. Then please write me an e-mail, 1 or 2 sentences will do, with why YOU think they would add value. Maybe reasons would convince them more than just names. If I can get enough people's opinions, hopefully we can at least get a response!

Summing it up, please add;
1-2 lines with why, your name/nickname and country you live in, and send it to: [email protected]
If you would also like a version of the petition sent to you, please also add an e-mail adress.

Heh, yeah, the closest that I could find was one that plays MMO games... but she tries to play FPS games some times, its all good!

Imagine, thered be nothing but females with upcoming new players, wouldnt really work and itd start getting annoying with the female voices etc.

Try any MMO and you see loads of female characters with males playing behind them

(I know females do get in modern armies, I am a squad leader and my APC driver is female jaeger)

I think its kind of a silly idea, considering in the US women arent allowed in combat. This game is all about combat. I doubt the middle east would allow women to fight too because they have such a low opinion of women, perhaps they could strap one in a suicide jeep and make them drive it into an enemy base.

As far as the chinese go, parents would probably send their daughters to war hoping they will die so they can have another shot at having a boy. So maybe that might work out.

btw, just to make the game pc by adding females would also be pretty idiotic considering that who really pays attention to the skin your playing as. If you are worried about that, go play the sims or something.

Pretty sure that DICE has much larger problems on their hands than this, like fixing the game for instance?

I would rather them not add females in at all if they were just going to add them into the support roles.

lol why dont u just go creat a mod called bf2 barbie style and make all ur lil barbie doll skins for all the girlies and they can all drive pink hummers or u could go all out and change the hummers to convertables...

and no one is forcing girls to play as guys.... no ones forcing girls to play this game at all...

As far as I am aware, Jessica Lynch wasn't in a direct combat unit, a support unit rather, that became engaged.

that guy is right, women are NOT allowed in the employ of any combat arms unit or put into a situation of direct combat. i know this game is based around marine units, but to demonstrate my point here are a list of US ARMY occupations that are closed to women-

In single player you will control a team of four, rather than six. This is in keeping with current Western military doctrines for fire team and patrol strengths in both Army and SF respectively.

So yes in a game that is based losely on Real Life as depicted in Tom Clancy novels. There are two female models for soldiers in the game. All that the females playing this game want is a female model. Like the female models in Ghost Recon 2, they will look exactly like the male models except have a prettier face and be a tad shorter.

personally, I think it's only fair for the female gaming community to ask for appropriate models. I wouldn't mind playing with one myself..

And I would just love to hear EA's and Dices's answer to such a request.

But really, as some of the guys have said, as far as BF2 is concerned, EA and Dice probably have more important bugs to fix with the next patch.

In the past, fps developers have obviously designed their products for the standard fps gamer, who is predominantly male, I suppose. Moreover, the standard game developer is likely to be male, too ( just guessing here.. ). As the female gaming community is growing ( which I believe is what happens ) this should affect the ways games are designed. It's simply a question of demographics and marketing strategies.

I agree with B.Schuss. You have to remember that this is a game.. and we have both male and female gamers. If a female wish to play as a female soldier she should..
This is of course just my personal oppinion... on a technical view I'm well aware of why they use a "one sex" army. It would be double the work and they have bigger concernes than that.
I can say more but it would just be a more detailed view on what B.Schuss said.
