Hey guys, I'm looking to be getting a new mouse and keyboard, along with a new set of speakers.

This is what I'm looking at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6823175104

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6836121122

Help/Opinions very appreciated.

I would go with the G5 mouse.

i have a G5, and I love it.

I bought the Saitek Eclipse.  I don't like a lot of extra buttons on my keyboard, and unless you're going to use them, get the Eclipse and save some $$$

I have my computer hooked into my home theater receiver, so I couldn't help you with the speakers, sorry.

Dammmnn that new g15 looks sick with the red
but id say it all looks good except for what has been said above with going for a g5 or g7 mouse
i have a g7 and it is a really good mouse to work with

They don't sell the G7's anymore.

I say go with: G5, G15, and X-540's for speakers.

I think you're crazy for spending that much on a keyboard.  I would also get 5.1 surround sound opposed to stereo.  When switched from stereo speakers to a 5.1 headset, I was amazed.

What's the difference between the G3 and the G5, I only need a side button on each side, not two on each side..

I can't have a 5.1 Surround sound setup in my room, no space for rear speakers.
I've always had Altec Lansings, love them.

For that price range, these speakers would be better.

The G5 would be my choice for a gaming mouse too, although the wheel on it is a bit shit.

The G15 is a complete waste of money, just like most gaming keyboards. You'd be much better off buying a cheap keyboard and spending you savings on a better speaker set.

I'll take your word for the mouse.
Have you used those logitech speakers? How does the audio sound?

What would you recommend for a keyboard? I chose the G15 because it seems sturdy and it was just the right size, along with back lighting..

I have had my razer for more than a year, its am amazing mouse. I dont see where anyone gets this "cheap and easy to break" crap from.

I use it so much i just got done last night removing all the skin particles off of my mouse. lulz, there was a layer of skin on my mouse.

(IMO: The razer was a great buy)

These speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … mp;Tpk=G51
If you never had 5.1 system, then you should get one, its really worth it.
And this mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6826104079
Yea it looks crap but its way more comfortable than G5 or any other mouse, plus it has so many functions macros, skins etc.

What? A layer of.. skin? Did you liek make teh edges sharp?
I'd go for either a G5 or a Razer copperhead. I'm having a G5 of the first generation, now I want a Razer copperhead since well, this one is good and such but my scrollwheel got fucked (just like with my friends G5) after a while and often the stuff on backplate of the mouse comes loose (stickers and such) a bit so I have to press it back else it will feel like im rolling over sand with the mouse -.-

i too would consider a 5.1 system. besides sounding better, it definitely adds to the pimp factor. if you ever listen to music, you will be blown away with the z51...they're amazing.

i have the saitek keyboard, and i have to say i love it. had it for 2 years and still no visible wear and it functions like day one.

i have had a logitech mx518 since they came out, and it kicks ass. even though its visibly worn from hours of use and abuse (fkin tv missiles wont turn!!!) it still works. logitech definitely has something going on the lastsforever front.

It's not that I don't like 7.1 stereo system setup, I really do love it. I've got on in my family room for the movie theater..
It's that I simply don't have room for the speakers. Desk isn't the most spacious, nor is my room.

I currently have a 2.1 setup, like it. But I need more umph, as I'm now going with the logitech speakers which deliver much more power..

I think the G5 is the favorite of all the mice I've looked at so far..

Not looking bad at all... though again, i would try to go to atleast 5.1.

Yeh, ive got a g15 at their really cool. Changing the DPI on the fly is really useful in gaming.

Apart from that... enjoy.

The single part of my computer that has not changed in the 3 years since I started upgrading computers.

No problems whatsoever.  I love them.  To death.  And they're cheap.

If you don't have room for a speaker set, how about a quality 5.1 or 7.1 headset?  They're just as good.
