I had to design a concert poster, only I can't decide which of these three I like. Changes can be made to any of them and all comments are welcome (well, most all...)!!

1. It looks cluttered because it it has 3 copies and not 2. Lower the opacity on the third copy or remove it if you want. Also, links to the image you used for the background or an explanation for the creation.

1 for sure. But do not lower the opacity, but lower the color fill to 100, 50 & 25 respectively, and align the layers closer to one another.

What? This is all hand made (by me) in photoshop and illustrator. The background is just a piece of paper scanned in for texture. Explanation? It's a class assignment and a concert poster for Rush.

Don't know if I like it to be honest. Fixes the "clutter" but doesn't "pop" as much...

design 4 is good, maybe needs something to make the 'RUSH' name stand out a bit more. dark outline or something to set it apart without changing its position. add another semi-opaque drop shadow thingy but not exactly flush to the existing one.

(sorry if that makes no sense btw i got 'man flu' and im stoned ).

Perhaps this is helpful:

When I first saw #1, I saw the "design" and not the clutter ... so it wouldn't surprise me that people would select that on just because it was the first encounter with the design. I also was really drawn to the design.

But, yeah, after considering the other two, I began to also think that #1 was cluttered and eventually chose #2

Pick the first one, but yeah like you said the wording is a little cluttered. Leave the design as it is. Just do something with the "German Ampitheatre" and the date... make sure that text is readable... as the text behind it makes it lose it's focus. But overall fabulous man... you have talent.
