From the Chinese-Jewish guy, I say leave it. If your making fun of your own race and you are cool with it...
Before I tell a joke about any race I always open up with a Jewish or Chinese joke 1st.  It clears the way for a not-quite-over-the-edge joke about another race. (as well as letting you know if you should proceed with said joke in the 1st place)
Just the sheer fact that you are sensitive enough about others feelings to post like you have is proof enough that no harm or tension is intended by the moniker.

tbh, I never thought that your name had anything to do with that. I always thought it had some other ( undisclosed ) meaning. Accordingly, I didn't find it offensive.

And really, does it matter ? As long as it isn't something like "Hitler_pwns", you should be fine..

Afrojap, I figured you for a half black, half jap. Jap, when I use the word, is an abbreviation. Nothing wrong with your name, relax.

I would say there is something wrong people who get bent out of shape over a silly name.

Help Erk make a new name people. 1/2 Rus, 1/4 Eng 1/4 Scot. I made up the name Erkut back in the Delta Force 2 days. I had no idea it was actually a Turkish name.... lol
