BF2S Forums Someone is Fulla Shit

No where in America is there a media source that is completely unbiased (or the world for that matter).  What worries me most is that the general population of Americans get their news soley from one of these two horribly biased sources.  To be honest, watching either of these "news" stations is more about watching sensationalistic drivel about stories that don't really matter.  They peddle controversy to the common man like it's real coverage of events that will affect Mr. Average Joe as he sits at home in his arm chair.  Oh, yes massa, some school board in Maine handing out birth control to junior high kids affects me personally.  I'm from New Hampshire, next to fucking Maine, and it affects me about as much as some blonde bitches escapades in hollywood (not aimed at anyone in particular, take your pick).  If you want somewhat unbiased news listen to NPR.  It's boring as hell, but that's the price you pay for REAL news about REAL events that REALLY affect you.  I, personally, flip between Fox and CNN because I find both hilarious and I love pointing out to friends/family/whoever the bullshit.

To answer the question though, which one is MORE full of bullshit?  Well, I'd say FOX, because occasionally CNN will toe the line and NOT go too far with a biased news story.  Fox, however tends to cross the line more, IMHO.

Fox is always more biased then CNN. Though CNN is getting sloppy lately in trying to be unbiased as much as possible for whatever that was worth.

Anyway, if anyone in America ever wanted a vacation to Iran I suggest you join the army right now.

I have long wondered how we can integrate more people into the democratic process. Just imagine what elections would be like if actually more than 50% percent of all people voted. In the old days, people wanted to be involved in the affairs of their country.
These days, a lot of them cannot even be bothered to vote once every 4 years.
What have politicians done to alienate their own citizens like that ?

Is it because we have long realized that our countries are run by corporate lobbyists, no matter who we elect ? Do elections matter any more ?

Mikey, if you mean some media watchdog then the only thing I could think of that would apply would be the FCC, but I'm pretty sure that they only deal with shows that they deem innappropriate, not journalism that may or may not be fallacy.  I'm pretty sure that our news channels can bend the truth as they wish, so long as they aren't sloppy about it, because as far as I know, the only people that would call them out on it would be the other news channels. 

That's probably unlikely to happen to any of the liberal media since FOX is about the only conservative news channel I can think of.  Then again, with FOX, there are documentaries out there like Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's war on journalism.  These documentaries are interesting, but at the same time, you can't trust everything without questioning it.
