I voted Fox, but only because they showed even less interest than CNN in stating the NIE report as truthfully as possible.

As long as the original NIE report in its entirety is still available to the public, I am not worried though.
What really worries me is wether people ( = voters ) do actually care to inform themselves through multiple sources, instead of simply listening to the channel that best fits their political allegiance.

No where in America is there a media source that is completely unbiased (or the world for that matter).  What worries me most is that the general population of Americans get their news soley from one of these two horribly biased sources.  To be honest, watching either of these "news" stations is more about watching sensationalistic drivel about stories that don't really matter.  They peddle controversy to the common man like it's real coverage of events that will affect Mr. Average Joe as he sits at home in his arm chair.  Oh, yes massa, some school board in Maine handing out birth control to junior high kids affects me personally.  I'm from New Hampshire, next to fucking Maine, and it affects me about as much as some blonde bitches escapades in hollywood (not aimed at anyone in particular, take your pick).  If you want somewhat unbiased news listen to NPR.  It's boring as hell, but that's the price you pay for REAL news about REAL events that REALLY affect you.  I, personally, flip between Fox and CNN because I find both hilarious and I love pointing out to friends/family/whoever the bullshit.

To answer the question though, which one is MORE full of bullshit?  Well, I'd say FOX, because occasionally CNN will toe the line and NOT go too far with a biased news story.  Fox, however tends to cross the line more, IMHO.

This is America dummy.  There are probably no more than 1,000 people out of the 300 Million+ that live here who actually read that shit.

Fox is always more biased then CNN. Though CNN is getting sloppy lately in trying to be unbiased as much as possible for whatever that was worth.

Anyway, if anyone in America ever wanted a vacation to Iran I suggest you join the army right now.

FOX is full of it usually BUT here they are only a little misleading

FOX writes "could be capable of developing a weapon as early as late 2009, the U.S. intelligence community has concluded." then runs the next paragraph to say "The "high confidence" conclusion"
TO the eye of a reader it appears that FOX is saying that the 2009 date is made with high confidence. That makes this a misleading statement.

Where CNN quotes the report as saying, ""We judge with MODERATE confidence that the earliest possible date Iran would be technically capable of producing enough highly enriched uranium for a weapon is late 2009, but that this is VERY UNLIKELY,"

I guess the word "moderate" is so far out of Fox's vocabulary that they choke on saying it.

Just saying "THE NO SPIN ZONE" is spin.

sad, really, considering the administration could be asked to make war-or-peace decisions based on such "intelligence"

I have long wondered how we can integrate more people into the democratic process. Just imagine what elections would be like if actually more than 50% percent of all people voted. In the old days, people wanted to be involved in the affairs of their country.
These days, a lot of them cannot even be bothered to vote once every 4 years.
What have politicians done to alienate their own citizens like that ?

Is it because we have long realized that our countries are run by corporate lobbyists, no matter who we elect ? Do elections matter any more ?

Mikey, if you mean some media watchdog then the only thing I could think of that would apply would be the FCC, but I'm pretty sure that they only deal with shows that they deem innappropriate, not journalism that may or may not be fallacy.  I'm pretty sure that our news channels can bend the truth as they wish, so long as they aren't sloppy about it, because as far as I know, the only people that would call them out on it would be the other news channels.

That's probably unlikely to happen to any of the liberal media since FOX is about the only conservative news channel I can think of.  Then again, with FOX, there are documentaries out there like Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's war on journalism.  These documentaries are interesting, but at the same time, you can't trust everything without questioning it.
