Without attacking specific religions, has Religion become outdated by modern society? Are the laws that govern them too oppressive or too exclusive?
Where does religion fit into this new world, where we have virtually discovered how the universe was created, and slowly the questions over our existence are ticked off as more technology develops to aid our progress? Where religion and gods could once be used to explain away problems that are now solved, we have science to help us, but does faith have more than just this use? If so please explain.
I am genuinely interested in what people think, please dont attack me for asking the question but respond with an arguement for or against religion in general, I am keen to see the concensus of opnion surrounding this minefield.
**EDIT sorry might i add, By religion i mean organised! thanks for the reminder!
