I could somewhat agree about feeling like FarCry. The only reason being, when you first crank up the game your on an island. But, in FarCry you didn't have the Nanosuit. The suit is pimp. Also, have you people actually played through the whole thing? You will then see that Crysis is far from FarCry. Here are some reasons:
Having choppers shooting missiles and trying to kill you... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Having the ability to customize you weapons with tactical pimpness flair... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Being able to swim underwater without worrying about running out of breath... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
An amazing A.I system that actually gives a challenge *Considering Level of Difficulty* Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Blowing out tires and shooting gas cans on the back enemy vehicles as they drive by only to watch them burn in terror and agony... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Having a Physics Engine so awesome that you can grab a Minigun and act like your in the movie Predator and make a hole in the jungle by chopping down trees with a wonderful spray of lead... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Being able to jump in a Hover Craft and literally ramp anything... *Seriously, you can scale anything in the Hover Craft, Try It.* Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
Having a true gaming pimp moment when you end up in Zero Gravity and actually feel like your in Zero-G. Full 360 range of fighting and movement. *You really lose your barrings of direction* Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
The end bosses of the game making you feel like a little turd fly on a horse nugget... Crysis = Yes | FarCry = No
and of course.........
Only the best damn looking game out there to date!
And of course thats providing you have a really tricked out machine such as myself. Also, you know there are a lot more features in this game the more you play it. I'm not saying anything about COD4, but then again...... Only thing COD4 is trying to do is jump on the Battlefield band wagon.
But, this is about Crysis. I personlly love Crysis. Not just because the game looks incredible, but I actually enjoy playing the game. Gameplay is an important factor to me when gaming. However, there are some problems with this game right now. The biggest problem folks are having is the Graphical and FPS slowness. Some people really have the kickass machine needed to run this game, but still do not perform right. Some are resorting to "Medium" settings when they should be able to run on High or DX10 Very High. Also, with the FPS *Frames Per Second* Some are getting really horriable FPS's like 15-30, some 20-40.... I mean come on, you would think people with high end machines would have no problems. Especially the people who bought or upgraded their machines just for this game.
Well, right now nVidia have a beta driver set out that helps some and not others. But, the performance really isn't with nVidia, it's with Crytek. The company said that there will be a patch within the next week or two. I am looking forward to it as it will increase performance. Other than that, the game is great. Even the multiplayer is fun. Sure, it has a few bugs, but don't all games when they first come out? I mean, I don't think I have ever play a game that was perfect out of the box. Especially when it comes to multiplayer.
Well, I really recommend this game to any FPS gamer. I really think this game isn't going to fade like FarCry did. This is the time when the PC starts coming out with next Gen games, and this may be the first one. So, just give the game time to get patched up and you will see it's true potential.
let me know what everyone else thinks... Also, who ever has it, we should team up and do some online gamin.... ]:8)
