Something that doesn't exist can't bring me presents. But when I was younger, it sure was fun rushing downstairs to check out all the awesome toys, like that new huge lego set that was so awesome and that I couldn't wait to put together and play with. Sadly, even if Santa was real, I doubt he has $30K to spare for the most expensive Honda ever: the Mugen Si. That'd be nice, but hey, let's be realistic. As such, I'll just be happy with the few dollars I get from family and the few gift cards for here and there. No new car this year, yet again.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
