- When is a NOOB no longer a NOOB?
Well i have seen many, picture this, a member from dignitas leaves and starts pubbing, only using the G36E, is he a noob or not? Also 'noob is not a noob anymore when he becomes skilled' makes no sense whatsoever, however your mother language isnt English so I don't care.Sup wrote:
Well thats your opinion. But i have never seen a skilled player using unlocks. So my opinion is: noob is not a noob anymore when he becomes skilled.Simon wrote:
Ok let me say this.
You can play whatever map you fucking want, if you bought the game and just play Karkand medic only, who cares? Just don't start this arguement. How can said noob know when he is good? That's basically what hes asking..Sup wrote:
Noob stops beeing a noob when he becomes good, plays in a respected league, stops using unlocks and doesnt snipe on inf 16 maps.
Also not everyone wants to play in a league, leagues can be boring repetitive and even stress full if you take it too seriously. (Which most people who play in leagues do) Using unlocks doesn't determine if you are a noob, that's just your preference of play, if you get killed by a guy with a L85A1 or even a G36E and you have an AK101 that doesn't mean your a noob. FYI AK101 is the best medic gun in the game by far , why would everyone who plays matches use it then? And don't say because they aren't noobs and don't use noob guns like the G36e, please.
sup, who the fuck are u. u speak bout 'pros' and 'respected leagues' like u know them. yet i dont see u anywhere.Sup wrote:

WTF is a Noob??
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
You are no longer a "noob" when you become a "fag"
If you actually have pride in your video game skills, and think you are baddass because you can pwn teh noobs than you are officially no longer a "noob", and move on to a "fag"

You are no longer a noob when you...
1.) Stop calling others a noob in-game and just play
2.) Stop calling others hackers when they kill you more once a round and just play
3.) Stop e-fighting with others via in-game chat and just play
4.) Stop using the same tactic/kit over and over and over in a round and just play
5.) Stop playing the game like CS Deathmatch and squad up and just play
6.) Stop caring about your stats and just play
7.) Enjoying the game / just play

A noob is no longer a noob when he stops caring about his stats and plays to have fun. (note my k/d ratio lol)
You can take a noob to water but you can't make a noob drink
you can train a noob but then you only have a trained noob
and as someone quoted earlier:
A noob ceases to be a noob when he becomes pro

When the guy who calls you a noob is getting mature, some never will.
when people have respect when they see a good player, and not cry cheat
When you start pulling in in the top third of players through sheer effort, not just teampoint whoring, baseraping, or playing IO.
When your actions make a positive effect on the team's score.
When you can muscle other people out of the commander slot.
When the entire enemy team is after you because you're making such a difference.
When flag defense and stealth are not just opportunism, but planned.
When the commander takes the time to personally thank you for your efforts.
I recently pushed through the noob barrier myself. I'm still learning, but I picked up the basics of chopper flight, some gunnery skills, and pissed off an entire team on Wake.

I think someone is no longer a noob at BF2 when they get the butter bar (2nd Lieutenant). They've finally played long enough and stuck with it and managed to get out of the sergeant ranks.
Oh and if Karkand/Wake are your top maps, and/or if Medic is your top kit, then you'll never get out of being a noob, and you shall forever remain a noob.
