hey guys,

need some help here, im looking for a program that will allow me to reduce my jpegs from about 500k to 50k in size.  ive rfound a few on the net but they wont reduce the size enough.

how do u do it in PS, a couple of the files i need to shrink to 1k which paint wont do it that far

I think you go to Image > Image Size> Then select Constrain Proportions then resize.

ok now i only have 2 files to reduce now, they are both 6k and i need to reduce them to 1k

When you go to save the file, do File - Save as - Change the file type to JPEG - and for quality change it to something lower. The scale is from 1-12. so if its say, 8 change it to 4 and you'll reduce the image weight greatly.

If that doesnt work enough, re open the JPEG you just saved and go to file - save as - and choose the PNG file type. that shoudl greatly reduce it for ya bro

needs to be jpeg and there is no scale thing when i go to save as, im useing PS cs3

needs to be jpeg and there is no scale thing when i go to save as, im useing PS cs3
thats gay because lowest quality jpeg is 2.54 kb in size.
the PNG i just made was like 850bytes

so much smaller when its png.
