imo, BF2 is the best game ive ever played though
Mortal Kombat, especially II. The sprites were captured with human beings, so they'd look as real as the system could process them. And Scorpion's grappling hook just owned.
Battlefield 2 came later. My first online game, and the greatest shooter with squad action and multiple ways to kill and be killed. Every round is different with human players.

Yoshi's Island still has a place in my heart. Such a great game. Awesome level design, amazing soundtrack, lengthy, extremely fun, and it had good replayability (getting 100% on each level can be hard).justice wrote:

Final Fantasy 7. My first wife and I got into the story line on that in a huge way. She would get so mad if i started to play it before she got home because she didn't want to miss anything. She ended up crying on and off for over a day when Aeris died.
I never forget Cloud's face, I have played Final Fantasy 7 over 1000 hours
I have every Materia, Summons, and the best weapons in the whole game ( including Cloud's Ultima Weapon ) and I also have beaten all the weapon monsters, Ruby weapon was the toughest but it was no match for my Cloud, Cid and Red XIII
My FF7 career lasted 6 years. I will never forget this game and the memories of it...

but the first CPU game i played was Day of Defeat, was a lot more fun than CS cuz i would come back to life when i died, not have to wait till the end of the round

at the time nothing came close to what I experienced when I popped that game it, defending several star destroyers while also trying to take out several mon calamari cruisers WITH fighter escort was amazing. At the time the screen seemed flooded with ships and lasers. I was floored
IGN ranked it third best PC game ever and 9th best game on any format ever. So its not just a few fans.

I think Age of Empires 1 was, because up to that point I had been totally unaware as to how games were progressing, and just the level of detail in that game that we take for granted today. Def Age of Empires 1.
