listen, not all of us hack for stats. i hacked because the game was getting kinda boring, so i wanted to change things up a bit. i dont give a fcuk about my stats, other then for bragging rights. if i got reset, it wouldnt mean much to me. infact it would be fun climbing the ranks again.

when i used nametags, i did it so that i could have a change in the game that was getting old to me. and it was pretty fun. going up to 200m in the chopper and picking one infantry person to TV the entire round was epic lulz. however, i didnt wanna get caught, and it did take away from the game a bit. before when people used to say "OMG TRIGGER HAX" i would lol. but then i was like, woah, wait a sec, i actually am. thats when i decided to remove my hacks, or so i thought i did. i forgot to remove one file from a hack that didnt even work, and got busted for it.

Talk about talking in circles. Notice how in the second paragraph you talk about realizing what you were doing even though you started out defending it?

If a game gets old there are several ways to make it fresh. There are these things called "mods". They change the game up. You can change servers. You can play lesser played kits. You can try ground pounding on an air map knowing you will constantly raped. But my guess is that you would never allow yourself to get air raped for fear of losing your bragging rights stats.

My main beef is him defending using hacks on online servers. Boredom is not a valid argument. If someone wants to use cheats in single player, fine. But using cheats in multiplayer games, ranked or not, is lame. There is no glory. There is no bragging rights. You are not the one doing the work. Why even play the game if you aren't playing it for the fun/challenge. Some will argue that using cheats is fun because you are constantly winning, but that is a farce. You aren't the one winning and there is no challenge.

Also, "it's just a game" is one of my pet peeve sayings. It's a cop out used by too many people to excuse problems in the gaming industry. It's used to excuse poor coding, poor support, poor performance, etc. It's a product. The money most people pay for it is very real. The paychecks people get are very real. It needs to be treated like any other piece of software. It's also one of the most commonly used saying by people who cheat. People who get off on ruining the fun of others. People that spend real money on a game and then go out of their way to not actually have to play it.
