Lowing the Liberal Mindset is all about appeasement to the Minority why do you think we have all these laws protecting them? Because they are scared of them too scared to pull up their pants and fight back and risk losing their lives. They cave in to External pressure and not Internal because they know the people that they fight against in their own government are civilized and would not harm them or their families for disagreeing. To all liberals who are so insistent on respecting everyones rights but yet you forget the people who gave you these rights want to be heard and respected aswell, Soldiers are not machines they have emotions they are human they are the bravest of humans, Next time you see a serviceman shake his hand and thank him for what he did for you, Dont insult him because he was deployed to Iraq and had to fight to survive. Dont make scene, He gave up his comforts so you could have yours.
First, I must ask you read a previous post of Lowing's stating that he
is in Iraq but not as a soldier. He stated himself that him being in Iraq did not change his perspectives because he never ventured out of a base. Not to say he hasn't been facing any danger, but just throwing that out there.
Maybe, just maybe, some people think life is precious. Maybe they care more about the well being of their family and friends than their country. I think that's perfectly understandable. But no, according to you, everyone must be brave and willing to sacrifice their family and friends for their nation. If that's how you feel, more power to you, but don't condemn everyone else who just wants to get by in life. That said, your last paragraph really just ticked me off. Do you really believe that ALL liberals believe that soldiers should be brutalized and that ALL liberals disrespect soldiers? I really like that black/white only mindset you have going there.
Personally, this whole "Islamaphobia" thing is meaningless. Just another meaningless label that provokes more arguments like this. But I suppose whoever thought up the term meant it to do good or something. Why should we continually "appease" or cater to Muslims? Because there are bound to be moderate Muslims that are tempted to join either side. They are potential supporters and potential enemies, no? If we continue to have the attitude that we shouldn't be accepting of Muslims, what does their view on the US look like? They'll see us as a shithole nation that fears Islam and will most likely make them our enemies. But what if we did cater to Islam? What if we did more easily accept the Muslims? Maybe not all the viewpoints of all the moderates/extremists/etc. will change, but inevitably some will - in the favor of the US. We gain allies/supporters within the Muslim population who can maybe support our ideals in places that we wouldn't expect. So in the end, I believe it's all for the potential of gaining new support within the population that's swaying towards either side.
Don't get me wrong, I still believe we can fight extremists because these are the
least likely to change. BUT, the whole "Islamification" bullcrap that people are coining is to prevent more people from becoming extremists. That right there is the whole reason in my eyes -
