Seriously. We could have saved a fuck-load of money had we just pumped some of the money that we've spent securing our oil saving people in Iraq on alternate fuel sources.

I wonder if they get what they want from these dives. And on the other hand, if/when they make a claim for the ocean floor, who the hell is gonna go down there to verify/deny their claim anyways?

Yup, just heard it on the CBC. Russian subs have been planting flags in the Canadian Arctic, claiming the resource rich areas. In response, the Canadian Government has vowed to build 6 six war ships to counter the threat. Unfortunately, the ships won't be built until 2020. That's what happens when the Liberal Governments of the past 50 years has disseminated our army forces. Geeez, who we gonna call for help??
