...To Sarrk to find out what program he uses to draw his cartoons, what program do you use to draw/create signatures? I own photoshop but I want a program that allows me to draw something then save it. Not Paint, it has the bare minimum of features that I desire.

So what program should I buy *cough*torrent*cough*?

Yes, I know I wasn't very clear about that.

I just want something other than Photoshop to be perfectly honest (just for drawing, it's awesome for everything else).

I use Fireworks. Don't use Fireworks, it's shit.
I'm not too savvy with the whole drawing sotware thingime, I only use Fireworks because I got it when I illegally downloaded DreamWeaver once. From what I hear though, Flash is what all the cool kids use when it comes to freehand drawing and stuff like that.

....It's perfect for drawing....and like the previous poster said, Adobe Illustrator is great for that.
Anime artist and animators, comic book artist etc. use that program a lot...or Corell Draw...but AI is the
leader in that category. Try the demo, but yes, get yourself a drawing pad. You'll love it so much that you'll have buttseks with it.

did you make that purely in AI, J? I tried it once (have the entire CS3 suite, overkill really) but didn't get anywhere. The pen tool in photoshop is limited, so I used Flash before. But it's a bitch to use flash together with PS..

Tell me about it... Ever since the last cartoon i drew and animated in Flash I've just been using Photoshop and Illustrator. Pretty much left the Macromedia suite in the dust cabinet. I should go back to it though.....
