HP Pavilion XT926
AMD Duron 900 Mhz
Fujitsu 40 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive (later went defective and HP replaced it with a Samsung 80 GB 5400 RPM hard drive for 35 bucks)
128 MB SDRAM
Windows Millenium Edition
Integrated Video
HP CD-RW Drive

Now, my DAD's first PC was a TANDY, not sure about all the specs but I know it had a 20 MB hard drive that my dad had to pay like $500 extra for. It ran on MS-DOS.

Monochrome Monitor (I'm not sure but I think it was the Commodore 1402 12")
Hahaha, I thought I was going to be the only one posting an 8088...
Mine was bought by my family back in 1984. I was young, but have vivid memories of the thing.

Intel 8088 @ 4.77MHz
640KB RAM
Dual 360K 5.25" floppies
Hercules Mono Graphics + orange monitor.

No hard disk, they came later. Two 20MB drives were fitted eventually.

Hercules mono ruled. It ran high resolutions (720x350 I think), and two shades of white (orange).

I've still got the motherboard and a floppy drive from it, as well as a floppy disk of text mode games.
you kik'd my ass off.  That orange moniter was so much better than the Green.  didnt you feel like king shit when you had it?

had a cassette to 'program' what you were about to do. People older will know what I am talking about.
4 kilobyte tiny BASIC in ROM,either 4 or 16 kilobytes of RAM, The CPU board of the computer was contained in the keyboard unit, and it used a separate black and white monitor. The monitor was really a RCA black and white TV without the TV guts in it.
