well i only read the first and last pages... so i dont know what happened in the middle.. hopefuilly not much.. just want to point out i went from a

-2.4 P4
-512mb 7600GT AGP
-2 gig of ram
-200 gig hardrive

ran it all on medium w/o AA on around 40fps

to this

-2.13 core 2 Duo
-2x 256 8600GT Sli
-4 gig of ram
-2x raptor 75 gig in raid mode
-3x 400 gig hdd

Cost of upgrade cost me around (aus)$1700

noticable difference? HELL YEAH!.. everything on high with AA on 16x running at 110fps

am i happy i spent the money.. you bet your ass on it

i run Bf2 on highest settinngs with no problems at all...
im not sure on FPS but i know on highest settings on CSS i get around 200 fps

... i also have Physics accelerator... dunno if it helps

2x 512 DDR but i want 2 gigs overall but you harly can buy the same ram what i have now. If you want ram then they sell DDR2 only and for that you need a new motherboard and new CPU and new this and that.....so a new rig and thats = $$$

what do you mean register? sorry but that was new to me? maybe thats why im having shutdown issues????
pm me please to let me know. im running 64bit vista << could be source of problems too :S and since installation havent been able to play a whole round of bf2..

First Vista sucks real bad!!!! Get rid of it. Wait till the damn thing gets patched up, then re-install it. Secondly, I have windows x64 Pro. It allows me to run 4 gigs registered through windows (My Computer/view system configuration). Windows Pro 32 only allows 2.75 Gigs. Its the maximum it allows under that OS unless you are running PC 3200 or lower. I have PC 6400 DDR2 which is higher bandwidth.

Go get Windows 64 Pro and you are going to be happy. Yeah Vista looks cool, but its horrible for just about any game out there.
