Ever since the xfire update yesterday my z key doesn't work in BF2... I can type it in chat but I wont go prone. I just reinstalled BF2 to see if that would fix it but it still doesn't want to work.. anyone have this problem before?
Check your control configs, otherwise that is very weird, seeing as it is actually working when you type. Open BF2, then log in and go to options and see if Z is set as the prone button.

Yeah I changed it to x but I don't like it.. I wish it was the parachute key I wouldn't mind changing that one.
Get a new keyboard... They're not that expensive. Go scavenge or ask if any computerstore has some old one you can have.

you know in karkan the wear house or w/e flag thats in the building near the end of the map... in the upper deck when ever i spawn there i jump down and press 9 and my thing never opens so i have to get revived lol

I just used my dads keyboard and it didn't work either.....
Go to your bf2 profile folder and set your keys manually.
(I don't remember which exact file you have to edit, but it can't be hard to figure)
