I'm looking to buy Garry's Mod and I was wondering if I need to buy CounterStrike: Source or Half Life 2 with it. Thanks.

im pretty sure you need hl2, since it uses all the models and its a mod of hl2
You need any game that uses the Source engine, HL2, CSS, DoDS, etc. or at least I think so, maybe you need HL2.

You will need the source engine, I believe that means you can buy any game that uses the source engine and then it will pre-load HL2 without actually letting you play it. Because of this you may be able to just buy Gmod and it will pre-load HL2 for you.

Garry's Mod 9.1b (or was that the 10 beta, heh) was the last official freeware release. GMod 10 has a lot more features and to only pay $10 for it is a bargain.KVNY wrote:
