I searched for a post describing my problem but couldn't find one.... that being said....
Whenever I first start playing on a map, gameplay is very choppy/laggy. The choppiness seems to coincide with people spamming "First Aid Here!" and such at the beginning of the round. However, after about 5 minutes of play, the choppiness goes away entirely and everything is smooth for the remainder of my time on that map. However, once the server switches to a new map, the choppiness returns, and again subsides as before. To lessen the impact of this problem I've been playing on servers that loop one map 24/7, since I only have to deal with the initial startup.
I am wondering if anyone else has or has had this problem and knows how I might fix it? I've set all of the graphics options to low, scanned for spyware and defragged without any luck. Thanks to anyone who responds.
