im in the process of making my new sig right now.  Heres how it looks so far

Im trying to figure out what to put in the big empty area.  and also, is there a way that i can change the tint of the girl's skin so it looks more like the tint of the sky?  any help is appreciated

Yes.

1. Skin tone change. Find the photo filter setting, and play around with the setting until you get to where you like it.

2. Empty Space. Maybe get a better sunset picture? Perhaps Hawaii, with the island and trees in it

Try using a levels layer and just playing around with it.  You could also try a completely black layer set on overlay then lower the opacity until it looks good.
