You said "either" instead of "neither".ThomasMorgan wrote:

Proper grammar dictates that it would be "neither can mine", not "either can mine".ThomasMorgan wrote:

ok.........
the first pic is of my grandpas medals and stuff from WWII. he fought in the pacific theatre and turned 21 the day we dropped the second bomb.
the long picture at the top is of his unit at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds before they were shipped out.
these next pics are random russian/soviet pieces i have acquired over the years.........
this last one is the center piece of my collection.
i was lucky enough to sit down with the commander of armed forces in afghanistan when the soviets were there. we talked for a very long time, and after some communication issues were worked out it was very enjoyable.
when we were done he gave me this hat.
ill try to get some pics of the other side of it........
but thats all i got right now.
edit: some more pics of the hat....

Bah, searched in an attempt to help that was fruitless. Very few sites I found had any pictures at all and I was so foiled by medals that had heads facing left on them. Confound it, why isn't there a resource for this type of dealie!
i gave up after a few minutes also......you would think that a HUGE reference guide would exist online.DesertFox- wrote:

I have these WWI medals and ribbons, but I have no clue what they are. Take a look at the picture and see if you can identify them.

im thinking that not all of them are american.
that victory medal definitely is.....there are different versions for different countries that look similar, but that is an american from what i can tell.
the rest, i didnt even see anything remotely close.

Not entirely sure about US or commie medals, but for old UK stuff, the British Army holds a visual reference guide to what is what, dating back as far as possible. I have acquired some WW2 stuff, like the Atlantic Star, Afrika Corps and things, plus the ones I've been awarded myself. Sorry state of affairs when real life medals are easier than BF2 medals, or maybe I'm shit at gaming...
penetrator....post some pics if you have some......i have just become interested in seeing what everyone has.
maybe an idea for a thread?

Yeah, some of the medals are German.

...seriously though, I don't know. All of us probably have ADHD.
Or a new subject arises in the discussion and people start talking about that.
I cannot even figure what IRC has then

at the time i was going for medic expert a friend of mine came back from a holiday in eastern Europe ... got me a medic badge on a piece of red that had 10 carved in it ... found the badge by searching for a explanation of that badge but it was on a Russian website or something so i could not read it
