it has nothing to do with your driving skills

Crew Specialist Ribbon
- IAR: 1 Driver Special Ability Point
- IAR: 20 Driver Kill Assists
- IAR: 10 kills
- A heal point, Either from a dropped med pack which someone runs over, or by him healing you and/or other people in or around the vehicle.
- A resupply point, Either from a dropped ammo pack which someone runs over, or by him resupplying you and/or other people in or around the vehicle.
- A repair Point, Either repairing the vehicle you are in, ie black hawk/transport etc. Or by repairing commander assets or other vehicles you drive/fly close to.
- Destroying a commander asset (UAV/Scan/Artillery). Either from 3 TV missiles from a chopper, 1 rocket from a bomber, Or any other method when they are riding in your transport.
- You are a pilot and anyone of your gunners/passengers gets a kill, apart from 'road kills' (Eg. with the guns on the vehicle, by shooting out with kit weapons, by grenades or C4/AT mines/claymores, but not when they blow up a vehicle and the exploding vehicle kills someone).
- You are the passenger/gunner and your pilot gets a kill, which is not a 'road kill'.
You get a Kill Damage Assist, when you are a passenger/gunner of a vehicle and a different gunner gets a kill with the the vehicles guns.

You get one for example your in a car and you are the driver and somebody heals or gives ammo to another teammate or somebody repairs your car while your the driver. Also in your stats a Driver Kill Assist count as the same thing for example you are the pilot of a chopper and your gunner kills somebody.

i just was the pilot of the attack chopper and let ppl rack up kills, its how i got mine to get my awards

and for that ribbon i got it without a special point, just all drivers
i have gotten them on IO with c4 i believe

I'm not sure about that. I remember a round where my gunner destroyed the commander assets with the TV a couple of times and I wasn't getting anything. He said via Teamspeak, he got the points for destroying the assets, but I think there wheren't any driver special ability points for me...DrunkFace wrote:
