You realize that there are over 5500 keys banned that are on the PUBLIC ban list. There are quite a few more on the PsB stream. A couple weeks ago, around 1200 people using MSX were banned. PB was one step ahead of MSX for around a half a day. You should also realize that 1200 was a miniscule portion of their paying users.

We're just talking about cheaters dumb enough to get caught. How many do you think exist total if this many have been caught?

i have been playing for over a year now . Ive only played with 1 hacker and i only knew this because he told the whole squad. he was pulling off some amazing shots from over 300 meters with a support kit( 1 bullet 1 kill kinda stuff). I myself have never cheated or hacked in bf2 or 2142. I like the fact that my stats are my stats not some aim bot or hacking software. If you want to use a keyboard with marco keys more power to you. Someone or myself will drop you along the way. I play in a server where the admins will kick/ ban hackers or cheaters and excessive team killers. LONG LIVE TTP

As I said, there are alot more than you think, they just suck anyway so you don't notice. Becoming a hacker doesn't make you better, thats your presumption.

I would add that the number of BF2 hacks has risen recently with the introduction of new versions to take over from MSX and T2X, the number of hacking sites is much higher than it used to be for BF2. It's clearly becoming more popular otherwise they would be outta business by now dont you think?

Some servers don't stream the master ban list so there is way more hackers banned than that.

Honestly, I tihnk it's almost impossible to detect someone "hacking" by just playing with them. This game is so glitchy that 90% of the stuff people call hax on is just bad netcode. A lot of people can't fathom that there might be somebody better than them, so if they get beat "HAXXOR!". Honestly, 99.99999% of the people who get called "hackers" in this game are really just good players. No, most people don't hack, they're just good at the game.

What gets me is when people turn on and off there hacks, if they already good it can be extreamly hard to tell if they are hacking or if they are just playing well that round. Then there are those that suck without hacks and when they turn them on it's like night and day, when they go from 7-15 one round to 50-3 the next round.

The skilled players the only way I think they are hacking is if they are making every hard ass shot one round to not being able to make some easy shots next round.

You call that a "very highly skilled pilot" ?!? You confuse highly skilled (k-d ratio) with highly experienced (hrs).
I cannot see your flying stats, but i guess it will not be many hrs as a jet-pilot.
hint 1: jets have onboard radar that light up enemy armor - through- fog as boxes or triangles, when close enough to the target.
hint 2: some jet-pilots use the mini-map and whatever their commander or UAV spots on that map.

Here are 2 guys that ARE very highly skilled pilots (unless they use(d) some sort of hack ... ?):
