I saw that like 1/2 years ago and i dont think it would expload just melt or the computer would turn off
it could possibly explode, it's an old processor without a built on heatsink like todays processors, its pin layout is different, I think the heat could have bottled up under it between the gap square in the pin layout, and KABLAM.

Most PC processors have had heat sink / spreaders. It's nothing new. As a matter of fact, the only processors I've had in the past 15 years or so that didn't have some sort of heat spreader were the same generation Athlons as that Duron from the video.
I've intentionally fried a few CPUs much like those guys did, but I was never blessed with their results. Mine just kinda melted down and smoked. Well, an old Cyrix did produce flames, but even that's not as exciting as Kablam!
