Last week BF2 crashed my computer and I couldn't restart it! I've since had to do a full Windows re-install (pain the arse) Got BF2 back on, and now, on a completely fresh system, it won't load.
It goes to a black screen, flickers, and then returns to windows.
Anyone know why? Am I going to have to re-install it again?

Here is my generic "Dodgy BF2?" advice:

A) Uninstall/Reinstall
Patch
Load game.

If that fails, Try downloading the patch from a different source, repatching the game and trying again. If THAT fails, then I have no idea what the problem is.

LCD but not widescreen.
It's working again now, but the sound is shit.

Turn off EAX, switch to SOFTWARE, etc.
