there is no limit to how large a hog can get. the more you feed them. the more they grow. especially when they're feral. it's an impressive prize, especially with a pistol, no matter what caliber. I wouldn't wander the backwoods of any southern state with less than .30-06 or 12ga slugs.
Hell yeah.. I mean... wow. Big pig! It makes me wonder if there was a food plot and some private land involved.
I usually take my .357 or have the 870 express, if the laws permit (can't scout with guns pre hunting season). I've been in some nasty swamps with less, but I think that the environment is a bit over exaggerated down here. You just gotta look around -watch where you step, look up (certain poisonous snakes are fond of trees) and look for game trails (das hoggie). Keep a good sense of direction, be prepared (compass/knife). Then again, I'm somewhat accustomed to it -been an sportsman my entire life (Eagle Scout too) and acclimated to those kind of environments (lived in Alaska too)...

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
