There are no changeable personal "settings" unless you want to risk a PB CD Ban, by PBBans, etc.

Bottom line is everyone has to deal with the fog. Get used to it or try to cheat and risk a HW ban.

Actually its a CD-Key Ban, not Hardware Ban. Yes> Globally.
NOTE: My Documents>BF2 Folder>Profiles.con Changes are Detected by PB and all other streaming PB services!!! Changing anything there> use at your own risk! Not Advised, unless you have a few extra CD-Keys handy...

Yes, not HW ban, GUID ban, my mistake.

They also detect the seat switch/fire TV missle macro but I sucked at that anyway and always preferred to have a gunner. No one gets banned for that.

I learned the tweak from this wonderful forum. It's actually fun to use in SP.

But anyway, you only get kicked for two minutes for a ''gamehack" if you go on a server with a modified profile.con. I still wouldn't do it now.

all i can suggest is:

High graphics, 100% view distance, and play Wake

Call me stupid, but depending on the situation it seems that sometimes you can see targets better through fog on low settings. Bigger pixels. Of course you don't know what your shooting at, but if you see a few big pixels change you might hit an enemy, or it might just be a graphics hiccup. The changes are more subtle on high settings. But I haven't actually made any observations in a controlled environment (same map/distance/etc) so I'm probably full of shit.

if you look at alot of the PBbans in the past 2 weeks or so theres a bunch of people that got caught with this and the sticky tags

Turning off shadows should be considered a hack.
