Call me a pessimist, but it seems much more likely that they are filming in reverse and using a string to yank it off his face. Which would make every seen almost as challenging as actually throwing the glasses. But I really doubt that if they were simply being thrown, it would work the first time, every time. In which case they would've tried it many, many times.
If you watch after the skateboard toss and he turns his head back, there is something very unnatural, it looks as though it was filmed in reverse. But like I said, it would still take a lot of effort and talent to make it look this impressive.
