I have the required points (and then some) yet I didn't get my promotion from Staff Sgt to 1st Sgt. It has been 4 days now and no promotion. Any ideas?? I have over the 8,000 points. Thanks.

Other than that, you just have to wait for the servers to update to get your promotion.
If you have been waiting for 4 days then I ask the question. Have you played in those last 4 days? Or have you been waiting to be promoted without playing?

Sorry I have a job and a life outside of BF2. And before this month, I hadn't touched the game since last spring (2006). Not everyone can be a BF2 hero with 1000+ hours like you. I actually get off my arse and exercise, run, hike, bike, etc instead of sitting behind a computer game for 44+ days worth of time. The one thing I liked about this game and forum was the fact that a-holes didn't have to chime in every 2 seconds with comments. I guess they all left Day of Defeat and came to BF2.

You have to play another round or two after you get your rank up.
