My father came to the country in the 60's...he is now retired and a millionaire many times over.  He worked hard for his money to the point where it has more or less meant it killed him.  He has lived and seen extreme poverty and has ensured his family wont have to go through what he did.  No government handouts, nothing.  Simple, sheer hard work. Oh and i left University a BA MA and MSc all paid for by myself.  I didnt't depend on the old mans handouts.  It's the genetics see.

Racism is about context.  In the UK the word Paki has always been used in a derogatory and abusive manner.   In Australia they Print 'Paki' in the newspapers as in the Pakis win at cricket.  it's accepted as its never been used as a racist slur.

Asylum seekers get free housing, this is often reported so....got any examples? Know any Asylum seekers?  I don't.

Britian is to soft for sure and i have always been taught to never judge a book by its cover for instance i am 6ft 2 have a shaved head and am a 19 stone bodybuilder i have people say i look like a right thug but that is only because they dont know me,if people learned about each other a bit more we might get on better :-)
