Israel is an ally because they have aided us and we have aided them. They have a strong military and anytime we need their help with conflict they are typically more than willing to help, unless already caught up in Pakistan as usual. As an American I think we should let them fend for themselves. We've subsidized them for some 60 years, enough is enough.

Find for me a war where Israel helped us. Find me a diplomatic conflict where Israel helped us. Find me ANYTHING where Israel helped us and not us them. They don't do shit in Pakistan, that's on the other side of Iran. And some other countries generally need our help for humanitarian purposes. True, they (Israel) are a democracy (so is Lebanon by the way), but that is not the reason we help them. Some reasons we (US Administration/Military Industry) help them (Israel)-
AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committee)
American taxpayer money sent to Israel turns into purchases from American Military Industry, which benefit the military industrial complex (which virtually all politicians are intimately connected to).
