Hi guys im new to bf2s so u wont know me but im also a gfx designer who makes sigs, userbars and website templates/layouts. I used to make graphics for a company called Uk-Designs which unfortunatly closed. So im here now thought id post up some of my old work and try to get some bf2 gfx flowing!

Ok, this may sound harsh.

I don't mind them; but they are nothing special.

Your render blending needs a lot of work on. They are WAY too hard on nearly every single one of them.
Your first sig is squashed and looks very ugly like that.
The visitor bbrk, or whatever equivalent of small pixel text, is not right in any of those sigs.

I am glad you don't use brushes. But then again, they can be quite effective if you end up over blending and effecting a sig.

Best ones? Halo or Ghost Recon, but they still are quite average. - what are those X's on the left hand side of recon man? They attempted smudgings?
- That small light on the bottom right of the Halo sig draws you straight to it; instead of the actual render.

dont mind zimmer, he never says anything nice, lol.

halo one is probably best in my opinion, although i almost couldnt tell what it was at first. those whit splotches do create too much 'ill placed' contrast, and can distract the eye, but its not that bad. the iraq one is probably my second favorite, but it does looked "squished." as far as images being too hard? i dont mind that, zimmer is just obsessed with blending the only ones where i see render blending as an issue is in the guildwars and 'random' one. they just look like they were plopped on a background, the rest arent too bad though.

the only other thing that bugs me is placement. all the renders are centered with text on one side. this creates an awkward negative space on the other side. not a big thing, but i think the iraq one works better in that regard, with image on one side and text on the other giving it balance.

I am not obsessed with blending. But hard renders look shit. Fact.
I do say nice things, if they deserve to have that said to them.
I was giving him constructive critiscism. Not killing him.

Ty for the welcome and comments all! Yeah blending is my weakpoint, but most of them sigs are over a year old ive only just came back to the world of gfx the gw was my first ever sig!

The iraq is my fav still i cant see the squished side to but thats probably just me! Them soldiers are runnng into a blasted hole in a wall and are surrounded by dust so maybe the filters on that makes it seem a little packed together i dno! But yeah i wont complain about the criticisms i asked for comments i got em and they help me improve! i havnt made anything for about a year (apart from the userbar) so ill try to make something fresh for yall see if i still got it!

A Good start, i agree with Zimmer though, the first one does look squashed. A bit of work on blending will work wonders. But none the lses they are quite good.

Damn, that tut has been soooooooooooo overdone! Try making one yourself instead of using tuts just experiment and use the techniquest you've learnt doing your other sigs, you'll be surprised at what you can do.
