the bf2 ak47 is pretty damned inaccurate outside of 100 meters.
100 meters is also a pretty damn near impossible shot without a scoped weapon. And by impossible I mean impossible to make with any kind of consistency.
Nah. 100m is a gimme shot with a rifle and iron sights. If you can't hit that you should put the rifle away and go home. Plenty of military shooters can hit 300 yard targets regularly with iron sights (I can hit them with iron sights about 35%-40% of the time, and hit 100m 100% of the time if visibility conditions don't suck)

It´s a very accurate rifle and it´s the most solid rifle of the world, even with todays standards...
Talking IRL, not game:
I don't know what other weapons you have been firing, but the AK-47 isn't that great. It certainly isn't solid, or accurate...it's made out of STAMPED metal! There's no way a rifle can be made that cheaply and be accurate.
Here's what I wrote about the AK in a different thread:

The AK 47 is the most numerically important weapon in the world. You can't walk ten feet without tripping over one in many countries. We confiscated truckloads of them in Iraq. It's manufactured in many countries, in many different versions, and was given out like candy. It's made out of stamped metal, so it's cheap, but the same low tolerances that make it reliable, make it inaccurate. It is a myth that it doesn't jam, but it does take a hell of a beating before doing so. Much more than any western weapon, because western weapons have fine tolerances to increase accuracy; so a little bit of sand jams up those finely milled parts. Unfortunately (for the weapon), a lot of its unintended users give it that beating and more, but they dont know how to disassemble or clean it, so it never gets cleaned. Eventually it does fail and jam. I had several in Iraq that would fire once, then jam, every time.
As has already been noted, it will NOT fire any ammo, it will only fire 7.62x39
