Alcohol is good for you in small doses. If you have something like a beer a week, it actually prevents heart attacks. Weed has no benefit at all. If you think it does your obviously high. Just never try it, unless your on your death-bed. If you don't know what your missing, you won't care to.
Weed has no benefits at all?
That's bollocks. Weed is very, very good for lots of things - many more than alcohol. Do you want links? I can give you hundreds and hundreds of quality reliable links to articles showing the benefits of smoking weed.
On the negative side weed decreases your resistance to mental illness and cannaboid based smoke is about 50% more carcinogenic than nicotine based smoke - that said there has never been a reported case of cannabis use causing lung cancer (although it does cause throat cancer - this could be to do with the added weight of the carcinogenic particulates in cannaboid smoke).
Most seriously effective medical studies involving cannaboids do not involve people smoking pot though. They involve extracting the relevant cannaboid from the cannabis, isolating and refining it to be better.
Much like the difference between chewing willow bark and taking an Asprin.
