Don't really care either way on snipers. I tend to act as a claymore sweeper anyways! Usually running into to claymore positions with a medic behind me! See even I am useful! If I play sniper I tend to stay low on the floor of maps and constantly run at flags, squads etc: Being rather suicidal! As per everyone else it does my head when snipers stay in one place, whats the point? All you achieve is a ticket lost, usually a knife kill from more experienced players, correct me if I am wrong, saying that there is nothing better than creeping up on a sniper then promptly knifing them from the side of there head followed by victory dance and teabagging! Also I must admit I hate it when you have a good sniper who continually takes you out as you cannot find them! Once found snipers are fairly easy to take out though.
I think that all the bashing about snipers is really about Haxzors as they tend to imediatley prefer sniper kits as it is more of a confirmed kill? Aimbot+SVD=Headshot, BOOM! Unless there a good sniper, but hey you get called a HAXZOR anyways! It sucks to be sniper, it sucks if you aren't! Get over it people, there's more to life than bashing snipers! FFS

(Sniper + SVD)+ (Me charging at them + M11-87 Shotgun) = I lose.

I tarnished a hundred point round (on my second account) yesterday by doing that.

Personally, when I snipe, I try to act as a designated marksman of a squad: Staying back and covering our boys as they advance. Later on, though, I switch into real sniper mode (i.e. turning the boxcar in Karkand into camper central).

I just love sniping. One of my br rounds of karkand recently using the l96, i got 46 kills, 16 deaths, 98 points and i was second best of my team when the round ended.

I mainly use claymores to defend flags my squad has taken, i normally only use one at a flag, hidden in a good location so i ll be noticed of a flag being taken before it turns. When one of the guys on ts is commanding, this kind of information can also be quite usefull for a commander so he can check it out, put some arty on it or sent a squad in to defend etc.

Anyways snipers can be usefull but it depends on the situation.
