I love 2142. I love it. I cannot get enough of it. But, it seems, that I have a love/hate relationship with it. It will promote me and supply me with happiness, but if I have to change maps after a round, it completely shuts down.
Is there any way top stop this?

Man, that sucks. I've had CTD issues with it, but only once every 4-8 hours of play time.

There are a bunch of gameplay changes coming in the next patch, when there really needs to be fixes instead.

Edit: Oh, there was one thing that was causing 2142 to shutdown that was my fault. If you have an X-fi soundcard, and do not have it set on the right mode, it will cause issues.

I already did that, still happens, and I also have the problem with BF2.

By disconnecting me and shutting down the game every time I have to change map? Which is usually after 1 round?

i have sorta the same problem but mine i get into a sever walk like two steppes and i kicked for no reason and i never got to play online
