Huh, my wife willing chose to leave her career to have our kids. We're not Mormon, though.blisteringsilence wrote:
If nothing else, I am scared of Mormons becuase they force their women to be baby making machines. The most popular school at BYU for females is the School of Family Life, offering degrees in Home and Family Living, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, and Marriage, Family, and Human Development.
Hard to have a career with a degree in one of those fields.
Edit: Most women I know want to be home with their babies.
As far as the Mormon baby making machine thing, I think that stems from their beliefs. Don't they believe that there's a spirit nursery where God and His wife are having sex and cranking out spirit babies? And to bring the spirit babies to earth, humans have to have offspring. Maybe I'm thinking of another religion. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
