As for the debate at hand, Audi all the way. And for those of us who have money issues, Toyota and Honda.

There are exceptions to every rule. The new corvettes can unlike their predecessors, go round corners and all the corvettes have been quite pretty, not up there with the Italians in the styling department though.
Perhaps,  but our 'Vette can live to see 50,000 miles unlike most Italian super cars. Also, you can own a Corvette for a reasonable price, versus a $200,000 Supercar. Dont be fooled either, the '07 Vette outperformed most other cars in the top speed, 0-60, oval track handling, road course handling as well as 100mph- 0 . I am not saying it is the greatest, I beleive all cars must bow down to the McClaren, but it is by no means a slump car on the international scale.

But we´re talking here about series cars, not some pimped up dragsters. The only amercian sportscar atm it the 07 Corvette, which is nearly compareable to italian brands, or german sportcars. But if you take the series speedlimit of 250 km/h outta BMW M5, M6 or Audi RS4, well, bye Corvette.

My dad had the 07 Corvette over a weekend in Feb. and honestly you cant compare the interior with a german sportscar like his M6. It´s just cheap imho.

There are often some guy with american cars, like Viper RTS, Corvette, Mustang on the Nordschleife, green hell racetrack, and those guys dont have any chances against Ferraris, Porsches, BMW, AMGs etc.

The sportscar with the best handling, even under racing circumstances, is without doubt the M3 CSL. No other car beats it in laptimes on a short track etc etc. Period.

I'm not a fan of the new Maclaren, the old F1 was very nice though. If it's speed and handling you want though an Ariel Atom will destroy a Corvette, round a tight track it'll be up there with your Hypercars, Enzos and the like. All for a slightly lower price tag than the Corvette (you don't get a lot of car for that though).

In any case I was generalising. You show me another 3 American cars that can go round corners and look nice. The Ford GT is an enormous monstrosity, which is a shame considering how great the GT40 was, the Viper is very nice but what else is there?

Bugatti Veyron full stop.

If you can't afford that (who can) the Porsche 911 has been the best in the world for 15 years.

If we're talking budget, Honda are unstoppable, and they make cars that are enjoyable to drive.
I'va had a Honda for 18 years, and not a problem.

I don't think Sl4y3r has a say in this, he gets to drive all his dad's cars

Anywho, even being partial to good 'ole American muscle, some BMWs/Audis/MBs are quite nice. 300 D... lol

I choose cars that can be upgraded to fuck and back with whatever the fuzz you choose. I mean, you cant do much on the internals/computing system of a German car without taking the whole block out and recalibrating the ride computers.

PS: Why the fuck are American's to defensive about there cars. Ok, you make 2 or 3 decent sports cars, that doesn't make the industry good nor does it make any other car good. Most of your cars are big cheap, fuel guzzling excuses for a penis extension. With no engineering thought put in and then massively protected by government taxes, tariffs and subsidies. They just couldn't compete otherwise, The cars are crap, the reliability is low and the fuel consumption is worse. (yes its a generalisation, but its mostly true).
Probably because the birth of mass production of vehicles (or mass production in general) originated here in the States. I'd agree that most of the cars being built are huge, gas guzzling, and (in my opinion) the smaller cars are not that great looking. I'd assume that the government is intervening and putting a lot of taxes, tarrifs, and subsidies other cars in order to protect American car manufacturers. I mean, if BMWs/Mercedes/etc. are actually as cheap as you say they are, wouldn't that just drive the American manufacturers into the ground? So you're probably right that they wouldn't be able to compete. Granted, there will always be the loyal customers, but that simply wouldn't be sufficient to offset the cheap "luxury" cars. With that said, German cars are pretty damn nice. Then again, I think most every car is damn nice.

Nope, actually my dad doesnt let me drive his cars. So I had to buy my very own fleet (and yeah Dad, you´re not allowed to drive them )

whats 300D Stryyker? If you´re laughing about my 330d, well, I can tell you, this little mule steams 224HP on the axis with a fat 730 nm and a topspeed of +/- 265 km/h (and us germans are allowed to drive that fast on some highways full stop).

And about the upgrading stuff, not true. My M Z3 roadster had a original 3.2 litres 6 in line block with 321hp. I´ve upgraded it once with the E39 M5 4.0 litres 400hp block without too much trouble. The only reason why I´ve removed it again was that the handling of the Z3 wasnt the same kart handling as before and the transmission didnt allow to drive without making a burnout till fourth gear. Now its back to 343hp, and imo this is way too much either.

Further I dont need to talk about my M3 CSL right?!
